Bush Vows To Veer Course Slightly
President Bush held a press conference yesterday at the White House to address North Korea’s nuclear test. Bush described the situation with North Korea as different from Iraq and said diplomacy was of utmost importance.
On the political failures in Iraq, Bush said “Don’t do what you’re doing if it’s not working-change.” But added that this was part of his ’stay the course’ strategy in Iraq. Apparently, ’staying the course’ is only part of a very complex exit stragedy that Bush has for Iraq.
Bush said the situations in Iraq and North Korea are completely seperate in regards to using military force because in the case of North Korea, he said “diplomacy hasn’t run its course.” Bush argued that the decision to go to war with Iraq came after “we tried the diplomacy.”
One thing Bush made very clear is that there are a lot of scary people in the world who wish to harm Americans. So please remember all the scary people when you vote on November 7th.
