Wal-Mart Rolls Slave Trade Forward

Wal-Mart has just ”rolled back benefits” again! The company has decided to implement wage caps and force around the clock availability in an effort to get rid of long time higher paid employees.

Human resources at Wal-Mart has concluded that more experienced employees are actually detrimental to their bottom line. The more senior the employee, the more they make and the more likely they are to have health care and actually use it. Wal-Mart employees in Florida commented that older employees with back and leg problems that were previously allowed to use stools have now been barred from using them. This is in line with Wal-Mart’s “keep em’ poor and suffering policy.”

Wal-Mart has demanded that all employees, regardless of seniority be available anytime for scheduling. So it doesn’t matter if you are a single mother with 3 kids, you better be available to work a few graveyard shifts. If your not, you go on the bottom of Wal-Mart’s pecking order and will have your hours cut.

Wal-Mart ideally wants a young, healthy, part-time and low paid work force. Ironically, this sounds very similar to the folks over in China that make the store’s goods. Well, minus the part-time and perhaps healthy part.
