Another Stint For Daddy Bush?
George Bush Jr. is apparently scared that his presidency will be remembered as a miserable failure. He tried his best to out-do his daddy, he toppled Iraq and Saddam’s leadership and shockingly got re-elected.
But with a low approval rating and the Democrats winning control of Congress, it appears Jr. is leaning more heavily on his daddy’s friends. Bush II has chosen Bob Gates to be the new Secretary of Defense, Gates was director of the CIA under Bush I. Bush II is also relying on the opinions of James Baker for the future of Iraq, Baker was Secretary of State under Bush I.
So what does this mean? Sounds like daddy Bush is playing a bigger role in the current presidency. We’re not saying this is good or bad because really, our foreign policies may benefit from people with some experience.
