George Allen Finally Concedes to Democracy
After two protacted days that seemed very reminiscent to the 2000 Florida recount, Virginia Senator George Allen has finally thrown in the towel.
Yes Mr. Allen, the people have spoken and while it was close, your racist hate mongoring wasn’t quite enough to put you over the top. Although, calling an aide to Jim Webb ‘Macaca’-slang for monkey, might have driven home some of your base in southern Virginia, it didn’t sit well with the rational and thinking Virginians-it appears they have become new players in Virginia politics.
Lesson learned in this campaign-don’t call people monkeys! This ain’t 1870 George.
