Microsoft Launches New Competition With Itself
For the first time in 5 years, Microsoft has launched a new operating system called Windows Vista. Vista’s main competition will come from their other operating system, Windows XP.
The new graphically enhanced Vista will give consumers new options and figures to give XP a run for it’s money. Businesses have first crack at purchasing Vista starting today but many analysts believe it will be difficult for Vista to overtake it’s XP competitor in the short term.
It may not be until 2010 that Vista outnumbers it’s brother and rival XP. Vista will be available for home PC’s beginning January 30th. It is unclear whether Microsoft will limit it’s initial supply and force computer geeks to camp several days to purchase it.
