Europeans to Drive Up Cost of US Travel in 07′

Thanks to George Bush and European tourists, the cost of domestic US travel is expected to increase above inflation in 2007. Bush is at fault for devaluing the US dollar because of the Iraq war and tax cuts for the wealthy. With the US dollar down, it is cheaper for Europeans to visit the US.

More Europeans are expected to visit the US in 2007. This will create a higher demand for flights and hotels. American Express is projecting hotel prices in New York City to rise 18%! The San Francisco Chronicle reports that hotel prices in San Francisco will rise between 5-10%. The national average for mid range hotels could rise as high as 6% and economy airfares could rise as high as 5%.

Thanks George Bush and Europeans. Next time you see a drunk Swede lost in your backyard tell him thanks.
