The B5Media network:

Biggest Villain of 2006

In a poll conducted by the AP, President Bush received the most votes for biggest villain of 2006. George Bush received 25% of the vote compared with only 8% for Osama Bin Laden. Bush beat out other villains like Saddam Hussein, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Kim Jong Il and even Satan himself. Nice work Georgie!

Bush beating out other dictators/fundamentalist radicals/the devil is somewhat surprising. But given that Bush has more in common with Bin Laden than many realize, it’s probably justified. Aside from not living in a cave and clothing attire, Bush and Bin Laden have a great deal in common. They both share radical fundamentalist beliefs that has led to the mass killings of thousands of people. They both also come from wealthy daddies and therefore were automatically born into privilege and power. Osama used Al Qaeda while Bush has used the US military and CIA to create disruption and chaos.

One important difference at the moment, is that Osama Bin Laden isn’t very relevant anymore. But George Bush…well, he’s still significantly relevant for another 2 years or until Congress gets some balls and impeaches “The Butcher of Washington.”
