Chuck Hagel Should Lead Republican Charge
Republican Senator Chuck Hagel of Nebraska has recently been as critical of George Bush as any Democrat has. He has openly stated that the troop increase in Iraq is both dangerous and wrong.
It’s nice that Hagel has begun warming up in the batters box with all the Democrats, minus Joe Lieberman. Thing is, they have to step up to the plate here. For the good of the country and their political careers, they need to come together and achieve enough bi-partisanship to impeach George Bush.
Bush killed the Republicans in the 06′ elections. If more Republicans don’t start jumping ship, he will further hurt them in 2008. We all know what politicians want most…to get re-elected. With that said, trying to oust the unpopular “Decider” is not a bad idea.
