Today, Arnold Schwarzenegger was sworn in for a 2nd term as Governor of California. The Governator once again swore to protect and serve the people of California, whether that be from domestic or alien enemies.

It was just a few years ago that Hillary Clinton seemed destined to possibly become the most powerful woman in the history of American politics. Yesterday, that honor was bestowed upon Nancy Pelosi, becoming the first female House Speaker ever.
Pelosi is now officially the most powerful woman in US politics. Unofficially, Hillary may have held that reign as President Bill Clinton’s wife. The hanging of Saddam Hussein is a perfect example of the incompetence of the US/Iraqi government in Iraq. Saddam was held in US custody from the time of his capture, through his trial and up until the morning he was executed. He was only then handed over to the Shiite thugs seen here.

Today the 110th Congress, led by the Democrats has kicked off. Democratic leaders Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi have promised a harder working and more honest Congress.
The new Congress promises to work 5 days a week, similar to most full time jobs. And the Democrats are also promising to reduce bribes on Capitol Hill by setting restrictions on gifts and travel paid for by lobbyists.

Over the last week the media has had nothing but praise for Gerald Ford. They have labeled him a simple man who did not seek power but had it thrust upon him.
He did not seek power? He was the Republican Minority Leader in the House before becoming Vice President, then President. People do not become leaders of Congress without seeking power.

Today the nation honored the life and presidency of Gerald Ford. People ranging from Tom Brokaw to both Bush’s eulogized the life of Ford with nothing but praise. While not as lavish and monarchy like proceedings as that of Ronald Reagan, it has still been a remembrance comparable to royalty. His body laid in the capital rotunda for days and all US flags will fly half staff for 30 days. This is the tradition for all ex- presidents who pass away, regardless of time served or whether they were ever elected in the first place.
