Ted Kennedy Says Iraq is “Bush’s Vietnam”
Yesterday, Ted Kennedy came out guns blazing against George Bush. He quoted phrases from President Lyndon Johnson that rang scarily similar to the rhetoric of George Bush.
Lyndon Johnson said that we must “stay the course” when referring to Vietnam. This was before he deployed an additional 100,000 Americans to that war. We all know what the end result was, many years later.
Former aide to Ronald Reagan and conservative Paul Craig Roberts compared George Bush to Adolph Hitler on Antiwar.com. When referring to Bush he says:
“Like Hitler, he protects himself from reality with delusion. In his last hours, Hitler was ordering non-existent German armies to drive the Russians from Berlin.”
So it’s far from just liberal Democrats who believe that George Bush is an incompetent maniac. Why don’t these political leaders learn from history? Or do they not care? Or are they that stupid and psycho?
Whatever the case may be, tonight is President Bush’s impeachment speech. When he announces a Vietnam style troop escalation that Congress and the top military advisors oppose, this is an absolute sign that he must go. We cannot wait another two years for this mad man to do more damage. It has become apparent that he is the world’s most dangerous man.
