Today, US Attorney General, Bush lover and war criminal, Alberto Gonzalez announced that an independent court will now be allowed to oversee the administration’s domestic surveillance program. Ironically, the announcement comes the day before Gonzalez is set to testify before Congress on this very subject.

Obviously, Gonzalez wants the ass grilling he will receive to be slightly minimized. Gonzalez argues that the wiretapping falls within the legalities of the Constitution, well, the one he and President Bush interprets anyways.

Regardless, since we had some elections back in November and some changes were made in Washington, the Bush Gestapo realizes that some concessions are necessary. Rather than risk investigations into this legal wiretapping process, the Bush goons have decided to throw the Democrats a bone and get them off their asses.
