The Scooter Libby Trial and Dick Cheney’s ‘Untouchables’
The scapegoat trial of Lewis ”Scooter” Libby continues. Yesterday, Tim Russert of Meet The Press testified that he did not reveal the identity of CIA agent Valerie Plame as the Scooter has alleged.
Libby contends that Russert told him about her before he went around the White House babbling like a little school girl.
But regardless of whether or not he is guilty, he is definitely the scapegoat here. He is the sacrificial lamb for Karl Rove and Dick Cheney.
Cheney is simply untouchable, who else could shoot someone in the face and then have that person apologize to Dick for all the inconvenience? Who else could spew a hateful human rights agenda and then bash the media for asking questions about the pregnancy of his gay daughter? That would be Vice-Captain Dick.
