Christians Up in Arms About Not Being Able to Get Their Bigotry On
There is a moral debate amongst many Christians. Did Jesus really hate gays? Did Jesus really want them to burn in the fiery pits of hell? Since he’s not here to ask him personally, we have to go with the interpretation of the gospel.
Religious leaders like James Dobson, Pat Robertson and many many others believe that Jesus did in fact believe that gays should burn in hell.
This has become a big issue once again because Congress has passed a bill against hate crimes. James Dobson has called this “insidious legislation” and something that will persecute the Christian faith.
Lucky for us, James Dobson of Focus on the Family wields a great deal of political power amongst right wing nut jobs and President Bush has said he will veto the Hate Crimes Bill. This will help the sanctity of Christianity by allowing them to continue to openly hate on gays. If you want to make a contribution to high powered and important bigotry in this country, click on James Dobson’s website Family.org and follow the instructions. Jesus will thank you and bring you great wealth for your critically hateful donations.

Jesus did not hate gays!
When Jesus was here on earth he hung out with all types of people that were considered ’social outcasts’… prostitutes, lepers, tax collectors etc. He came to seek and to save those people that are lost… not the righteous! Jesus wants to help anyone who is not following His way of life He set for us. I am a born again christian and am myself struggling with the fact that I should show Jesus love to everyone including gay people. Jesus doesn’t hate anyone… He does however hate the sin they are living in. He loves everyone and wants to save and change everyone possible and bring them into his kingdom… Including gay people. Christian “leaders” who stand up on their high horse and encourage hate are not showing forth Jesus love to everyone. Jesus said love one another. Not hate a certain type of people.
Love the person… hate their sin.
You bring up some very good points but in typical Christian fashion you end by being hypocritcal saying “hate their sin.” I’m sure Jesus loves us all but he sure has a funny way of showing it sometimes. And Christian leaders sure have a funny way of siding with big business interests.
