Is This What It Will Take For the ‘Decider’ to Decide to Leave?

Here we see our self described ”Commander President” and “Decider” back in 2004 awarding ex-CIA head George Tenet the Presidential Medal of Freedom for being in charge while 9-11 occured. It has become pretty stock standard stuff for this administration to award mistakes and/or incompetence with medals and/or praise.
A few other notables here would be Bush saying “And Brownie, your doing a heck of a job” whilst people were still stranded in water in New Orleans. And Dick Cheney’s arrogant and ridiculous praise that Donald Rumsfeld “was the finest Secretary of Defense this nation has ever seen.”
Last night on the Colbert Report, Stephen said that for those who really want Bush out, they need to see him out with honors. He proposed signing this letter and sending it to the White House. The letter is an admition that George Bush is the greatest American President ever and has always acted in our best interests.
Colbert has a hell of a way of putting things but if the letter would really get Bush out of office, it’s awfully tempting. Can we really afford another year and a half of immense incompetence and basically telling the American people to fuck off at this point? Of course, the letter will not make him leave, but if it did, would you sign it? Good ole’ Colbert, I’d have to say no just out of principle here, screw our future.
