This is the face of a man that has sold out his own race. Yesterday, Clarence Thomas voted with the majority of the Supreme Court in the 5-4 decision against school integration programs in Louisville and Savannah.
Basically, the white kids need to be separate from the black kids, no child left behind, separate but equal right? Obviously, Clarence Thomas, a black man from Savannah, Georgia believes that this is a fundamentally sound idea for the future of our nation.

We previously showed the video of Democratic candidate Mike Gravel staring into the camera for a minute before throwing a huge rock in a pond. Here is the other crazy video he shot, the one where he lights some branches on fire and they subsequently proceed to burn on camera for a solid 7 minutes. Feel free to not watch the whole thing! Last night the Democrats held their third debate at Howard University, an African American University in Washington, DC. The timing of the debate was ironic as it came the same night that the Supreme Court made a 5-4 decision that could lead to the re-segregation of schools. After all, Bush has a no white child left behind view on education.

The Supreme Court awarded another big victory for ‘Big Business’ and an uppercut loss to consumers. In another 5-4 decision where Anthony Kennedy cast the deciding the vote, the court ruled to overturn a 96 year ban on price floors.
For the past 96 years it has been illegal for manufacturers and distributors to set minimum retail prices because it was viewed as a violation of antitrust laws. Not anymore! I am a smoker and because Camel cigarettes marketing scheme is largely based on giving out free smokes at bars and sending coupons, I am on their mailing list. And I like being on their mailing list because hell, who doesn’t like to save money.
Thing is, when you save money on cigarettes it does not discourage you to stop smoking or smoke less. The obvious motivation to quit is for health reasons and I have quit before, only to pick it up again.

Today the Supreme Court ruled that campaign contributions should be able to flow like the waters of Niagara Falls. By a 5-4 vote the Supreme Court found that suppressing the ridiculous amount of political TV ads was unconstitutional.
The Supreme Court ruling puts the future of the Campaign Finance Reform Act of 2002 into serious question. It once again opens the flood gates for Big Business to pour even more money towards political ads. It’s another huge score for Big Business in the new John Roberts/puppet of George Bush led Supreme Court.

Since the Bush administration took power, there are a multitude of things that have gone backwards in this country ranging from healthcare, education and the foreign policy of trying not to kill people. Subsequently, we’re hearing many ideas from the presidential candidates on a number of issues. But asides from John Edwards and his $400 haircut, no other candidate is addressing the issue of poverty.

Since I just wrote way too much about myself I wanted to take a moment to mention b5media which in just 2 short years has become one of the largest global blog networks. There was this recent NY Times article on jobs in blogging and b5media received a good amount of coverage in the piece.
