Here’s just one stat from the American Heart Assoc. on Cigarette Smoking:

The rate of smoking decreased as education increases.

Studies show that smoking is higher among those who had earned a high school diploma (39.6%) and lowest for people with a college degreeion (8.0%).

It’s also highest among persons living below the poverty level (29.1%).
