The B5Media network:

Clarence Thomas Has Sold Out the Black Race

This is the face of a man that has sold out his own race. Yesterday, Clarence Thomas voted with the majority of the Supreme Court in the 5-4 decision against school integration programs in Louisville and Savannah.

Basically, the white kids need to be separate from the black kids, no child left behind, separate but equal right? Obviously, Clarence Thomas, a black man from Savannah, Georgia believes that this is a fundamentally sound idea for the future of our nation.

Yeah, it’s complicated but when you boil it down we have a system of no white child left behind. And that is far from being equal, moral or trying to work towards a nation with less crime and poverty. Good on ya Clarence, I hope you sleep well at night.

Clarence Thomas is not on the Supreme Court to represent Black people or someone’s idea of what is good for Black Americans, thus it is nonsensical to claim he has sold them out.

You may disagree with his legal reasoning if you like, and that is certainly fodder for debate, but please, don’t pit black Justices against white Justices, as if the Supreme Court is no more than a racial arena.

Clarence Thomas is someone who has benefited from the Brown vs. Board case. Matter of fact, all minorities benefit from the landmark case. There’s only one black judge, so the fight is heavily tilted in favor of white judges, so that’s a non-issue.

Because white families were unable to send their children to their #1 school choice, we now witness the unraveling of Brown vs. Board. THANKS!!!! Is the difference between #1 and #2 worth all of this, I think not.

Non-racial diversity metrics pale in face of race and ethnicity. Because I grew up in the South, I always assumed there were more black people in this country that I realized. When I went to college, I met quite a few white students who had little to no interaction with black people … WOW!! So this will become the new norm from yester-year. And don’t think many rich folks are going to send their kids to be with “commoners” either

Wow Alex, what insight.. Do you have any idea what the case is even about? What it does is strike down using race as a qualifier for admission. You can not decide where a child is going to go to school based on his race.

SCOTUS made the right call, you’re just to narrow minded to understand it.

    Alex,

Way to demonstrate total lack of intelligence and inability to argue a point with any skill. You clearly don’t understand what the case was about and rather than argue on substance, you resort to the typical tactic of a person who knows he can’t win on substance.. You attack the person. Hey it’s that uncle tom again! Yes CT sold out the black man. Fact check sir. It was a 5 to 4 decision. Not that it matters as you totally misconstrued the case and the decision.

I don’t believe the article poster actually understands what the case is about. It is not about integration, and separating blacks FROM whites. It is about using race as a criteria for placement of a child in a given school. The court ruled that you can not say students A B and C must go to XXXX high school because they are black and XXXX high school doesn’t have enough blacks.

Also the comments on the ruling do permit building of schools based on needs by race. So schools could be located geographically based on race. In theory. That would probably also be challenged at some point.

This is not about integration at all. To distort it in that way is only done for the purpose of attacking Justice Thomas.

Well we have a couple serious haters up in here. Total lack of intelligence?

Come on people, read between the lines. AK brings up a great point.

Yeah, I read about the case and understand the substance of it but I also understand what it means for the future of the country and that’s shittier schools for minorities.

And yeah who did let the moron in?-”Yes CT sold out the black man. Fact check sir. It was a 5 to 4 decision.” Yeah, duh! Why do you think I slammed Thomas on this? He’s black and voted to set his own race back.

“More educated than Alex”-that’s cool that you feel the need to put that on my page (while providing little substance yourself), I could have denied the comment but I don’t do that here. Clearly your a dick who doesn’t give a shit about equality.

But it’s cool, luckily I have Canadian, US and Greek citizenships and my wife is Australian. I’m living in the US at the moment but we sure as hell aren’t staying much longer!

I’m a little tired of the “freedom” here ;)
