I just came back from vacation so I wasn’t really paying much attention to all things bullshit. But I was briefly watching the news while in my hotel room in Toronto last weekend and random things were popping up telling viewers about important world events. So I’m watching this and see “Alberto Gonzalez resigns as US attorney general effective September 17th.”

This was Mike Gravel a few weeks ago on Logo talking with Melissa Etheridge. It’s a refreshing change of pace when Gravel is not yelling at people, although the awesome awkwardness factor is of course still present. As crazy as he might come off, at least he’s not crazy enough to believe that being gay is a choice like Bill Richardson does, or said he did before retracting the comment the next day saying he didn’t understand the question due to jet lag. Maybe ‘The Decider’ didn’t like black people when Katrina happened but then decided that they were ok. Well, they were at least ok enough to “get down with” on a trip to Africa several months back.
I wonder if these people know how much Bush is hated by African Americans. I’m sure, but they figured fuck it, we’ll dance with the stupid American leader.

Rudy Giuliani said that if our next election is about one issue it’s terrorism, and he really means it! Unfortunately his own children don’t share the same views as his daughter is actually supporting Barack Obama for president!
A resident of New Hampshire recently asked Rudy that if his own children don’t support him then why should anyone else. Rudy’s reply was “TERRORISM!” Actually, he said that people should leave his family out of this (especially the ones that don’t endorse him for president). Luckily Rudy still remains ahead in national Republican polls.

This was Dick Cheney back at Bush’s last State of the Disunion address. ‘The Decider’ is babbling lies about wanting to reduce our dependence on oil as dark sith lord Cheney smirks in the background. I’m sure it was painful for Dick not to burst with laughter at this bull shit.

Fred Thompson has been solidly running #2 in national Republican polls but he’s still not officially running, while actually running for several months now. Some speculate that he has not made an official announcement so NBC can continue to air his Law and Order reruns and he can receive his royalty checks. Plus, while not officially running, he can comfortably sit in the #2 slot without doing a whole hell of a lot. Pretty sweet.

Senator Patrick Leahy has announced he will be making an appearance in the next Batman movie. Leahy, is Senator of the Ben & Jerry’s state and is about as left a Senator we have, aside from fellow Ben & Jerry’s state colleague and socialist Bernie Sanders.
Leahy says he can’t disclose much about his role but came out today showing that he means business, threatening to hold members of the Bush administration in contempt for not complying with subpoena requests.
