Sirened

There has been a lot of talk lately amongst prominent American political figures to bomb problem areas of northwest Pakistan. Surprisingly, President Pervez Musharraf (we’ll just call him “Moose” though) rejects this idea.

For some weird reason he thinks it’s a bad idea to have Americans bombing his country. And it seems most Pakistani’s feel the same way as the country could be on the verge of being de-stabilized. If so, chalk another one up for the American government.

But unlike many instances where the US government directly invades or creates general chaos in order to install puppet governments or remove governments they don’t like (Somalia was a recent one that got little coverage) this is one Moose they don’t want to topple.

The Moose is firmly on the side of the US but he has had to toe a fine line in appeasing his own people as well. Seriously, how do you properly kiss the US governments’ ass while also managing a Muslim nation? Oh yeah, doing that book tour here was probably a bad idea.
