Obama Seeks Destabilization of Pakistan
The other day, Barack Obama said he would consider sending American troops into northeast Pakistan if he became President. The reason for that is because the Pakistani government has little control over that area and thus it has become a new sanctuary for terror training camps.
The Pakistani government has it’s hands tied because they do not want to risk destabilizing their country, and after all, that’s the US government’s job! It would be fine to just go in there and kill some insurgents, only lose a few of our guys and only kill a few innocent people and then things would just go back to normal. But that would not be the case.
The Pakistani government treads a fine line between being an ally of the US and having their nation toppled by radicals. Considering that the majority of Pakistani’s do not have a favorable opinion of the US government, to say the least, they will doubtfully like having our guys storm through their borders and start shooting up the joint.
And guess who has nuclear weapons? Pakistan. And guess who else has them? Their arch enemy India. If Pakistan’s government were to be toppled by radicals that would spell huge problems for the US, the region and the world.
This hypothetical comment by Obama, 16 months before he probably does not become President, was not a wise decision.

this is the end of your weak evil and foolish idea.If the world have seen all these wicks idea of your destabilization They will fight washington to the death level. Washington is going to use this wick man for their end of failure so the the all criminal committed by Bush will be account in his name.
Alright, seriously, let’s take a bit of a glance back in history.
What’s the other title given to the President?
Commander in Chief.
What does he do?
Commands the military.
Honestly. Directing troops wherever he thought necessary (or she, i guess, like the gov’t would ever allow that though) was the president’s JOB. But, of course, Americans require a scapegoat. When did it become his job to figure out the taxes, laws, any of that? I thought that was Congress. Y’know, that thing with the House and the Senate… Where like, no one knows who represents them…
Seriously. This is stupid.
Jane-Excellent point. Yes it is Congresses job to write the legislation (although big business has taken that over) and get it to the presidents desk. But then the presidents views do matter because he either signs the bill into law or vetoes it .
If Obama wins he’ll have a democratic Congress as well so it will be interesting to see how much they can get done. But Obama has to convince them to introduce the legislation that he wants, they’ll be on the same page with some things but not everything.
One other thing I’ve noticed… So if people say it’s awful to go to war for “no reason,” does that mean they condone the actions of terrorists and dictators? Such as the stories about Saddam shoving people he didn’t like through plastic shredders. I guess that’s alright with them.
Jane-If we tried to topple every murderous dictator in the world, well we just couldn’t! Sure we could enlist like the whole country but how could we afford it?
All that talk is a sham and an excuse.
We are friends with the dictators who are friends with us, that’s all that matters. Saudi Arabia is a great example, the House of Saud are horrible dictators and we hold hands with them.
Saddam wasn’t exactly buddy-buddy with us, though. And the Saudis give us oil, and they kinda sorta cooperate. War on oil, y’know, Iraq.
So you basically just agreed with me.
Yeah, so? I never tried to say we should go out and save the innocents
though that’d be kinda cool if we could and wouldn’t be hated for it.
I just wish American tax money was used more responsibly. That’s part of the reason why I live in the Netherlands now.
Netherlands?? Damn, man, grats.
Yeah the tax money is kinda… abused. It’s basically money we pay to live. To LIVE. It’s not for government bribes or any of that shit. Or even for any crap they build in DC for the government. If they want any more white marble crap that the homeless people can sleep on, then they can sure as hell pay for it out of their own damn deep pockets.
Americans love America, but kinda hate American government…
Thanks Jane, yeah it’s pretty cool over here, though the tobacco smoking ban kicked in today-can still smoke marijuana in the coffee shops though. The police are so not going to enforce the tobacco ban in the coffee shops though, haha
And yes I’m very proud to be an American, but not at all proud of the gov’t.
They tried to do a smoking ban in a city to the north of me… The radio ads against it said the government was trying to infringe their “right to smoke.” I find this interesting, since if you try to commit suicide any other way, you get taken to a mental hospital and are considered a danger to yourself and others.
I never quite thought of smoking as suicide but that’s an interesting perspective. At least it’s a slow death though!
Slow and eventually painful. That’s how progress is made though I guess. Slowly realizing there’s a problem and then getting burned by it when it’s too late. It seems as though that’s the only time they’ll take action: once something bad enough happens to enough people all at once. Has to be all at once, though, otherwise the government won’t notice.
If Big Tobacco wasn’t in the pockets of Washington they wouldn’t be able to get away with what they do. Free packs of cigarettes in bars, free cigarette coupons and buy 1 get one free packs just don’t fly in many other countries-like the Netherlands.
Aside from freebies, just a year ago I was able to sometimes combine sales and coupons and get Camel cigs for as cheap as $1 a pack in FL. hehe
Hehe careful now, they might not send you your complimentary Joe Camel jacket or coasters or whatever the hell else they give out. Lighters, I’m sure.
Haha, very true! Marlboro used to send me stuff for my birthday. I got beef jerky one year, a lighter holder another year and they randomly sent me bbq recipes and chances to win grills and stuff.
Camel sent better coupons but the bastards always forgot me on my birthday
.
A lighter… holder…?
So did they send you a pocket or something or what the hell was that? XD
hehe, should of said lighter case. Thing sucked too because I had a hell of a time getting the lighter out once it was dead and needed to be replaced. Plus it’s just kind of bulky and pointless.
Pointless, kinda like smoking in the first place? ;D
