6 Year Anniversary of 9/11

Well, its been 6 years since 9/11 and it seems like yesterday that lots of Republicans were constantly reminding us of it. Oh wait, it was just yesterday, and today and every other day.

We must constantly be reminded of 9/11, if we accidentally forget when we ride the subway or enjoy a football game or fly somewhere we need to be reminded. So I propose something that would not only benefit us but also benefit Rudy Giuliani’s bid to be our next ‘Decider’ of things. That would be daily picture messages to our phone with some horrific reminder of terrorists and how they can interfere with our freedom and everyday lives. Just give your cell phone number to one of Rudy’s goons and perhaps they can oblige.

You’re right, because we shouldn’t remember the lives lost at the hands of radical Islam. We had it coming anyway…right?

*nod* It’s one thing to remember… it’s another to dwell and use it as a scare tactic to convince citizens that they need to give up their liberties and rights in order to be “safe.”

Hey Viking Trevor, I went to the website you’re linked to… are you compensating for something?? Matt, I agree, there is a HUGE difference between remembering and scaring people.

  4. September 14th, 2007 | 5:01 pm

So Matt, what liberties and rights have you given up? If you wanted to burn a flag in front of the white house, you could. You had better hope I’m not there, but you could. And, guess what, you can do it without being prosectued by the law. In other countries, people get killed for less. But, you’re right, we have given up SOOO many liberties and rights.

Even so, it should be used as a scare tactic. You would think that this would be enough of a wake up call to convince people of the capabilities of terrorism. It’s not like once it’s done it won’t happen again. What would you like to see on 9/11 posters? “It happened but oh well”

Bellie: what would I be compensating for. I am a member of the forum of the Hall of Vikings. It’s a website that actually displays it’s pride for the testosterone that us men are born with. Society these days is trying to pussify everybody and I happen to be proud of being a man.

No comments? No arguments? It seems many people on the left are willing to speak out against what’s “popular” to protest, but are scared when logic is thrown their way.

Seriously, Matt, what liberties have you for forfeited due to 9/11? Because obviously the evil republicans are overreacting and stripping you of your rights…correct?

Well, first of all, I didn’t respond to your first provocation simply because I didn’t know it was there. But the very fact that you felt the need to return and continue aggressively prodding shows that you’re not looking for a discussion, you’re looking for a fight. How “masculine” of you. Congratulations.

I really have no desire to get into a “debate” with someone who has made it quite obvious that he’s proud of his stubbornness and arguing abilities. I will say this much though. It isn’t just about what I personally have lost. Sometimes it’s nice to think of others and the rights internationally agreed upon that are being tossed. Habeas Corpus, anyone?

I DO believe we, as a nation, need to be careful. We have played the part of bully in the playground for so long, our ego blinded us from those that wanted to knock us down. But there is a difference between ‘careful’ and ’scareful’. I look both ways before crossing the street. I do not flash lights, wear a reflective helmet, carry a bullhorn, and tell drivers of a certain race they’re not allowed to use that street because I’m crossing it.

Viking Trevor is clearly a douche bag. I responded to his “logic” several times before I finally had enough. There is no point to “debate” a narrow minded person like this. And here he is back weeks later leaving bating comments on the site.

Someone needs to put a chill pill in the Vikings coffee to combat some of that pent up rage he has going. And someone needs to give him a sense of humor too.

By the way Viking, “proud of being a man.” Are you the dude in the Dial for Men shower gel commercials?? Aaaarrrrggggg!!! Proud to be a man!!

  10. October 4th, 2007 | 5:52 am

Alex…you must be a woman. Therefore your logic (or lack there of) is genetically flawed. Or maybe I interpreted that from your logic (or lack there of)

You believe in equality, but yet you discriminate. You scorn at my brother Trevor for having pride in his manliness, but yet you applaud women’s rights movements, gay pride festivals, and black history month. You believe in welfare, and social security, yet you want those who have earned their money fairly to be forced to pay for those who haven’t. You are illogical, inconsistent, and worst of all a feminist sympathizing liberal hypocrite!…You’ve just been slain.

  11. October 4th, 2007 | 3:49 pm

Since when did pride in being a man provide grounds for such childish mockery? Society today is too filled with “men” who are feminizing themselves more everyday. Finding people who take pride in their testosterone driven lives is becoming a rare thing. I despise the era I live in now where homosexuality and political-correctness is invading the sanctity of masculinity. Are you so filled with “open-mindedness” that you are more willing to accept a homosexual guy who wears a gay pride shirt then a straight, grown man who can shoot, hunt, provide for his family, love a woman, and defend himself? Clearly society has taken a wrong turn.

Sorry you guys clearly find zero humor in anything. Viking Trevor, I visited your site once way back when you first commented and that was enough for me. I didn’t agree with it so I didn’t feel the need to visit it again. I’m sick of political arguments with people like you. Eventually they have to end at some point.

Yet you have felt the need to continuously come back on my site and attack me. And now you’ve got your brother tagging along too!

Are you obsessed with me Viking Trevor? Your not going to try some Larry Craig crap on me are you? Will I have to watch myself next time I’m in an airport bathroom?

And Viking Trevors brother (aka Fellow Arthurian)- calling me a “feminist sympathizing liberal hypocrite!” That was a lot to cram in there but I’m sure you guys are used to that at your Viking parties.

You uber conservatives are notorious for being closet cases. Anyways, go shoot some ducks or something and be happy. And go dream of rounding up gays and liberals and throwing them in gas chambers. Hmm, who else did that sorta thing, let me think here, oh yeah, the Nazi’s!

  13. October 5th, 2007 | 12:43 am

To Alex’s Nazi commnet… the first thing the Nazi’s did when siezing power was to outlaw private firearms ownership except for people with hunting licenses, who does that sound like???

oh yeah… feminist sympathizing liberal hypocrites!

All these names link to the same dickwad Viking site. I went back and checked a bit of it out. I like the piece about that smoothie being real man like. Yes, smoothies should definitely be at the heart of every Viking man’s diet!

Thanks again for returning dude from the “Dial for Men” shower gel commercial.

Also, nice naked gay pic of Arnie you have on your site!

  15. October 5th, 2007 | 4:54 pm

I find it pitiful that you have become so desperate for attacks that you have resorted to bits like “naked gay pic of Arnie”, “Dial for Men”, and Larry Craig. I thought that you had at least a little digninty. Consider arguing like a man, which you seem to portray as being evil for some reason.

I do have a sense of humor but I tend not to be amused when someone’s source of comedy is subjects such as 9/11. The majority of your articles portrays America, the military, or people who aren’t leg shaving, cock-sucking, politically-correct, “open-minded” tree-huggers as evil or iniquitous.

  16. October 5th, 2007 | 7:07 pm

Actually I don’t even know why I’m still posting on this joke of a site. I have much more productive things to do then waste my time arguing with a person who has nothing but personal attacks against my masculinity in his arsenal. You can have your little politically-correct, “open-minded”, anti-masculinity (for some reason) webshit back.

  17. October 5th, 2007 | 9:43 pm

The piece was about how you lefty animal rights fucks are sneaking soy into all aspects of everyday life.. and protien smooties or shakes are an inherent part of any weightliftin/bodybuilding man’s life.

Yeah clearly you have LOADS better to do then constantly come on here and attack me. It’s all the steroids huh?

Hey did you know that “liberals” are conservatives in Australia and England? The other party is labor. But your too fucking naive to know stuff like that. So your a liberal to them! Granted still a uber right wing nut job.

You can throw your little facts out there and I can throw mine (as I have many times before this) but at the end nothing will change, but as far as Iraq, it’s just COMMON FUCKING SENSE.

Have a good weekend torturing some gays or raping some women (or men) in your underdwellings.
