Notre Dame Narrowly Loses By 17!
Notre Dame fans finally had something to cheer about as they saw their Fightin’ Irish score a season high 14 points and came their closest to a victory this season, losing only 31-14 against Michigan State on Saturday.
The 14 points were more than Notre Dame managed to score in their previous 3 games combined, having only scored a total of 13 in those. So by comparison, it was an offensive explosion for the Irish. In fact, Notre Dame nearly won the first half, trailing only 17-14 at halftime.
The 31 points their defense allowed also tied a season low for the Irish who have been outscored 133-27 in the first 0-4 start of the school’s rich football history. Lucky for them, they have “genius” offensive coach Charlie Weis (thankfully locked up until 2015) to get them “back on track”. With the promise they showed in the MSU game, they could potentially win a football game this year.
