My best crappy American beer is Killian's Red. I may be partial to it solely because a favorite band of mine sings of it, but regardless, it suits my inexpensive tastes just fine.

As far as Blue Moon, thanks for pointing out that it's American. I didn't know... it's always with the overpriced imports in the bar. I definitely prefer Tucher as well. And any bartender who knows anything should automatically put the orange on glass.

As far as an absolute favorite import, I don't know... I better keep taste-testing. :)

[...] a bit too much for you, Alex at Sirened clearly has his head screwed on properly, as he thinks it’s time for a beer and in October (Oktober if you prefer the Munich spelling) you have to admit he has a point. [...]

Thanks for sharing Mary Jo. Yeah, Don de Dieu is made by the same company that makes La Fin Du Monde, Unibroue. They also make Maudite which is excellent as well. When I was in Montreal years ago I had some fantastic local Quebecoise beers, I wish I could remember the names!

My current all around favorite is Stella Artois, but I've recently become a fan of Don de Dieu (a triple wheat from Quebec, 9% alcohol). It's too filling to drink all the time, but it's a nice change of pace.
