Need to Get Something Out?

This is a Kellogg’s All-Bran commercial that I noticed on The Consumerist and found quite amusing. The company says that the ad is aimed at people over 45 and is meant to be funny. Thing is, several people that commented on The Consumerist said they didn’t get the subtle metaphors taking place on the construction site. Therefore, I feel All-Bran failed in its mission to get its message across to as many viewers as possible.

I think the commercial should have ended with the construction worker sitting on the toilet eating his All-Bran. That way it hits you smack in the face as to what this cereal can do for you. Plus, they could have killed two birds with one stone here, America is a fast paced society and we want things in and out as quickly as possible.

    How dare they assume that America “get” something other than Adam Sandler or Vince Vaughn.

    I think General Mills should make a Lucky Charms commercial with Dennis Kusinich as the leprechaun.
