Vote Stephen Colbert For President in 2008!
Well, this came as quite a shock. Lot’s of people were asking Stephen Colbert to run for president (much like Fred Thompson) and members of the media kept asking him whether he would run. He played down the question on many occasions, sometimes acting as if the question was intrusive (much like many presidential candidates before they officially announce they are running).
Colbert made this stunning announcement on the Colbert Report but said he is only running in his home state of South Carolina. However, he will be running as both a Democrat and a Republican! This is a very refreshing announcement in light of how polarizing this country has become. Perhaps Stephen’s run as nothing more than an American will bring some true patriotism to this race!
And being that our race to the White House is a big clusterfuck of liars and scumbags anyways, why not make a statement and just vote for Colbert! And it doesn’t matter if you are a Democrat or a Republican since he will be on both ballots!

I’ll vote for him without hezitation – just gimme some Doritoooooos!!!!
Stephen Colbert is a genius and i think he would make and amazing president. VOTE COLBERT!
I think we need some changes in the election laws seeing as how Doritos can’t just pay for Colbert’s South Carolina primary fee’s outright. Not only should they be able to pay for it, they should be able to give away free Doritos at the polling stations to anybody who says they voted/will vote for Colbert. That way Colbert gets more votes, Doritos gets to do a political promo and people get free Doritos! This way everyone is a winner!
If Colbert is willing to tell Americans the truth about (and I’m sure he is) Putting up or shutting up (the war on terrorism) I would vote and will vote for him. the fact of the matter is that once our soldiers (I’m one of them) come home the terrorist will follow
Rich-thanks for serving and commenting. Your perspective as a soldier is obviously different from civilians. But what do you think about the economic costs of being in Iraq? We are going into more and more debt here.
