The B5Media network:

Hillary Clinton-Big Brother

It’s less than a week away until this election thingy officially kicks off with the Iowa caucuses on January 3rd. It’s amazing that a woman finally has a great chance to be president of this country (the US has not been a pioneer with this by any stretch). And at the same time it’s amazing how little change this would bring to our political landscape. If she wins the democratic primary and then goes on to be elected president, this would make Bush/Clinton/Bush/Clinton with Ronald Reagan being the last non-Bush/Clinton to lead the USA in world domination.

It’s phenomenal that in a democratic country with over 300 million people that something like this could happen. Will she better than President Num Nuts? Of course, but so would a reeces monkey because the monkey would not be capable of doing the destruction Bush has done (unless of course you count throwing feces on the walls of the oval office).

For Christmas, a friend gave me a calendar to count down the last year of Bush’s disgraceful presidency. And while I’m ecstatic that this nonsense will finally end soon, how excited can I be if we continue with not just a two party system, but a two family system?

“Of course”?! What possible proof do you have aside from an obvious hatred of Bush that Hillary would do a better job?

I’m no fan of Bush and I’m leaning Democrat in this election, but let’s not forget that the first Clinton era had 8 years to utilize their approach on international affairs to help thwart the hatred that fanatics and terrorists fed on to begin blowing themselves up over.

    How soon we forget.

We also shouldn’t forget that 9/11 happened during the Bush presidency. We cannot 100% rule out that the administration turned a blind eye to the attack to strengthen their power.

Bush invaded Iraq, our biggest blunder since the Vietnam War. His environmental policies are non-existent and he has cut taxes during an extremely costly war (no American administration has ever done that). You expect that kind of financial responsibility from an 18 year old stoner, not the president.

Bush also has an arrogant, ignorant and polarizing stance on foreign relations. He’s gotten a smidge better but that wasn’t hard.

We have open borders so how protected are we really? If we get hit again during the next administration should we blame Bush? The Bushies blame Bill Clinton for 9/11.

So to me it’s obvious, I thought it was a tragic day in American history when we elected Bush president. And we proved ourselves even dumber by giving him a second chance.

Progressives have got to remember that we may not get everything if we want the office. The office has leaned to the right since Ike held it. We need to get in there and get turning it back. As much as I love the more radical changes needed, let,s not shoot ourselves in the foot!
I would love a women in there and I thought the more centerist position Hilary has reflected might bring the right wing dems back to the fold. Myself I think Edwards would do more to get us in a progressive track without alienating the right of center crowd.

Venetia-Since b/s is really the #1 issue in elections I just can’t get over John Edwards’ $400 haircut.

If everyone likes the status quo then vote for Hillary. Frankly 20 years of Bushes and Clintons is way too much. Look where we are now and what we become. We must do better than this elitist.
Hillary stands for Hillary only and that is dangerous.

Thanks for the comments Lindsey! Both this one and on the other post. I agree with you, people should say NO to Hillary!

I’ve been joking on this site about the Iowa caucuses but I’m really pleased the Iowa dems had the sense to not allow her to win their state.
