Fred Thompson Drops Out
Aww Shucks! After making a big splash before he even entered the pool, Fred Thompson was never able to muster the kind of support he hoped. And that was garnering enough of the “aww shucks” vote. We’ve seen a lot of pie charts on TV but I haven’t seen a breakdown of how the ”aww shucks” crowd voted-I suspect Huckabee hurt him most.
Anyways, after a third place finish in South Carolina, a state fill with “aww shucks” voters, Thompson had no where to go and thus had to drop out of the presidential race. Thompson’s folksy explanations of government and what government should do will be missed. RIP Fred Thompson campaign.
