Guest Post on Sirened?
Some of my regular readers know this, others don’t. My wife and I are in the midst of relocating from sunny flat Florida to gloomy flat Amsterdam. The date we fly off to our new home is March 1st and it’s been much anticipated since we’ve known about this for a few months.
Obviously things are getting hectic with the overseas move, we are doing all sorts of things with our stuff but we’re not taking most of it. We just organized our apartment in Amsterdam and should be good to move in on March 2nd when we arrive. However, being in the midst of moving and needing time to get settled in (internet connection in the new place for starters), Sirened will be updated a little less frequently over the next couple weeks.

You don’t have to write for a political blog, in fact, it would be refreshing to get some different perspectives here. What’s your take on the delegate system? Any interesting local/state political stories you’d like to share? Do you live outside the US? If so, what’s your take on American politics/policies?

Amsterdam is beautiful but I don’t know why you would trade it for Florida!
I’ve lived in Florida most of my adult life, I lived in Melbourne, Australia for a year and among other things loved the public transportation.
You just don’t have good public transportation in Florida and it’s annoying when you’re getting stressed in traffic while trying to have a nice day at the beach. Florida is a nice place to visit or retire with money but not my cup of tea.
Plus I just love Europe. So many great cities that are so close.
