Hey, I told that American soldier that I wanted a danish, fruit cup and a soy venti caramel machiatto.
This is not a soy machiatto! Do you know what dairy does to my stomach?? It destroys it ok!
And you call this a fruit cup? My Uncle Sami’s smoothie shop in Kirkuk pisses on this.
Oh, that’s the only Starbucks in the green zone is it? Then go outside the green zone! I don’t know how you people expect me to get anything done with such lackluster service.

I just wanted to take this moment to wish everyone a Happy St. Patrick’s Day. May this St. Patty’s bring you the true luck of the Irish-especially on that drive home!
This is a picture of the Chicago River in what I presume is either St. Patrick’s Day or a day in which leprechans turned out in mass to have a giant piss.

This picture was taken back in mid-February at the University of South Florida, at an event held as part of the universities’ lecture series. And there’s me doing a Colbert while wearing a shirt that says “Relief Pitcher” and Valerie Plame being an excellent sport. I didn’t put my arm around her for the photo as I thought that a bit much for a former CIA operative who has also donned the cover of Vanity Fair. Eliot Spitzer (or client #9) as the FBI likes to call him has been all the political news of late. I first saw the story on the cover of a Dutch newspaper here in Amsterdam on Tuesday. It read something like Eliot Spitzer…blah blah blah (it was in Dutch). My first thought was that it must be big shit if this guy is making the cover of Dutch newspapers. It was another Something Tuesday for the democrats and Barack Obama managed to win the always pivotal states of Wyoming and Mississippi. Hey, when did these states get to count?
Anyways, Barack Obama now has over 1,600 delegates, putting him just over 600 points (delegates) short of cliching a spot in the Finals with John McCain. Seeing as how I’m living in Amsterdam now and my wife and I came over with US money, I figured I would share the latest US/Euro conversion rate. Right now, 1 US dollar only gets you 65 Euro cents. And if you’re a Euro, you’re now worth $1.53 US! Ouch, I wish I didn’t just look at that! It got worse…
