The B5Media network:

Will Michigan and Florida Have a Re-Do?

The democratic party sure has found themselves a fine mess. With John McCain already locked and loaded in the republican slot; the democrats are still fighting against each other and squabbling over delegates. Until yesterday, DNC chairman Howard Dean ruled out re-do’s in Florida and Michigan, but now, facing the tough prospect that neither critical state will count in a very close contest, he’s considering it.

There are a lot of issues here, like who will foot the bill? If it’s the DNC that’s big problems for the democratic party because the DNC has far less cash on hand than the RNC. Howard Dean decided to blow his wad on a 50 state strategy rather than just focusing on winning the same old states plus either Florida or Ohio in the general election.

And if it’s the taxpayers that foot the bill that won’t bode well for the democrats either, people will rightfully be pissed and you’re sure to hear a whole lot of “tax and spend liberals” rhetoric from republicans.

Whatever way you look at this, this is just flat out terrible for the dems. If there is a re-do there are money issues and having the states not count is just ridiculous. Leave it to the dems to possibly blow the silver platter President Bush has given them.
