Today is the biggest celebration of the year in the Netherlands, Queen’s Day or in Dutch, Koninginnedag. The holiday was originally established to celebrate Queen Wilhelmina’s birthday on August 31st, 1880. But in 1948 the date was changed to April 30th and has remained the same since, despite there being a new Queen (Queen Beatrix decided to keep the date intact upon her succession in 1980 as a tribute to her mother, Queen Juliana). Last night was the final White House Correspondents’ Dinner for George W. Bush and it sure is nice that lots of “final” things keep occurring for him as president. It’s still a ways until the best final thing, his final day as president, but for the moment I’ll take this one.

That’s right, his name is Bernie Sanders and he hails from the free loving hippie commune Ben & Jerry’s state (aka Vermont). Here’s Barack Obama being rudely interrupted from his delicious waffle as he is asked to give his take on Hamas’ endorsement of him. I totally feel him here. Last night after the dust settled in a critical battleground state come November, Hillary came away with a 10 point victory, 55%-45%. She proudly took the stage with husband ‘Slick Willy’ and daughter Chelsea and thanked the people of PA for their gracious support. And it was indeed gracious of Pennsylvania voters to ignore the fact that Hillary is so obviously full of shit.

In just a few hours the polls will close in Pennsylvania and the people of that state will give us their glum vision of the future-I presume something along the lines of Terminator or Planet of the Apes.
