The B5Media network:

MSNBC’s Veepstakes Tournament

Charlie CristAre you a fan of NCAA college basketball bracketology? I know I am. There’s little hands on (without actually playing) stuff in sports that is more fun than filling in your March Madness bracket every year. All kinds of strategies are involved, like which #11 seed will upset a #6 seed, which #12 will upset a #5 (and you can always count on this stuff happening).

In the spirit of bracketology, MSNBC has put together a republican vice-presidential bracket for you to fill out. Instead of 64 teams, there are 32 men and women listed; names that have been flung around in the same sentence as John McCain and vice-president.

The men and women are listed in 4 groups and seeded #1-8. The #1 seeds include Mitt Romney, Gov. Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota, South Dakota Senator John Thune and South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford. #2 seeds include Jeb Bush (seriously??), Condoleezza Rice, Israeli Senator Joe Lieberman and Florida Gov. Charlie Crist.

Potential sleepers include #5 seed Rudy ‘I Kill Terrorists With My Bare Hands’ Giuliani and #3 seed Tom ‘I Invented the Terror Threat Level Colors’ Ridge. How exciting!

Israeli Senator Joe Lieberman. He is unqesetionably the most qualified and talented man for the job of Vice President of the United States of America at this time. John McCain needs such a man by his side to make it through a race to the Presidency against Sen. Obama and win!
