Can You Actually Die from an Overdose of Marijuana?
This thought occurred to me a few days ago when I was writing that prescription drugs kill more people than illegal drugs. Marijuana of course, has never been known as a killer, unless you count the old government propaganda film Reefer Madness. But I wondered if it was even humanely possible to die from a marijuana overdose.
The thought came to mind when I read that zero people had died from marijuana in the state of Florida in 2007. None, in a state of 18 million people, half of which are retarded.
Living here in Amsterdam, where marijuana can be purchased at some 200 coffee shops in the city, has gotten me to do a little research on the subject. I’d previously read that it isn’t possible to overdose from smoking marijuana because you just get too stoned and are no longer able to physically smoke, thereby making it humanely impossible to die by that means.
So I thought, well, what about ingesting it? Space cakes are big among tourists in Amsterdam, which are basically just baked goods like cakes and brownies filled with weed. I know a lot of people get sick from eating space cake because when you ingest marijuana it takes about an hour for the effects to kick in. Many people don’t realize this, thereby eating too much and getting sick. But I’d never read about anyone dying from this, so is this possible?
No, it is actually impossible to die from a marijuana overdose because apparently nobody ever has. The government has done research on this and apparently one would have to consume 1/3 of their body weight in marijuana in just 15 minutes for the dosage to be lethal.
There are perhaps 2 human beings on this planet even capable of that, professional eaters Joey Chestnut and Japanese superstar Takeru Kobayashi. Those guys can eat 60+ Nathan’s hot dogs in 12 minutes! That’s unbelievable, which of course means they are juicing.

Too funny Alex! So if you weighed 150 pounds you would have to eat 50 pound of pot in fifteen minutes to kill yourself? That doesn’t sound like a good way to go…
Lol, no it doesn’t! Then again, I couldn’t imagine eating 65 Nathan’s hot dogs in 12 minutes. I think those guys get stoned beforehand!

Actually, you can’t digest the pot food fast enough to cause a lethal dose to be administered even if you fit the volume into your body. Just about the only way to get a lethal thc dose is pure thc extract, but the brownies won’t work, just not digestible.

jd-You definitely can’t, directly in the short term.
And I think that feeling of having a heart attack is just paranoia. Pretty common side effect of weed!
good shit, i try to tell em all this shit but nobody listens. In college i had a class called drug dependency, and bacc in the day some scientist listed all of the “drugs” in order from deadly to non, marijuana and cocaine were the last 2, then someone took todays list of drugs we inforce the most, and weed and cocaine were top priorities in the USA. Tobacco and Alchol were the top 2 in the deadliest and the bottom 2 of which usa inforces
And asides from how deadly and unhealthy alcohol can be, alcohol leaves a nasty hangover. Who’s ever woken up feeling hungover from smoking too much pot?? A little foggy headed perhaps, but not sick as a dog, can’t go to work kinda stuff.

I realy can’t work out why cannabis is illigal, its NOT addictive, you CAN’T die from it and iv herd you can actuialy drive fine on it, im sure a police man/woman would rather us walk past them stoned to bits.. quite, laghfing, smiling and friendly, than drunk, abusive, thretaning, loud and negative, but then again britian would never legalize cannabis, simply because the polatics here are a bunch of stuck up twats, but in a way cannabis is illigal/legal, they “Call” it illigal, but if a cop catches you with weed they will only ither give you a warning, or tell your parentsif your under 18.. but most of the time they ither turn a blind eye or just take if off you and say nothing.. i think they just like to say its “illigal” so as england dosent look like a “Drug City” like amserdam with every coffie shop and corner shop selling weed.
