Yeah, it's just crazy up in those countries and I figured you can do one of two things 1)get pissed about it or 2) laugh at it. It wasn't always easy but I at least tried to laugh at it. Interesting to compare the Netherlands to those countries huh? Amsterdam just doesn't have the grandeur of Copenhagen or Stockholm and we definitely don't have the space that Sweden does! But I do love Amsterdam and it's nice that we can go to the store and get beer for super cheap! Even with US money it's cheaper than the US to buy from the store. Did you do a lunch buffet in Stockholm?? There are some good deals with those by Stockholm standards, with euros mostly, not so much with US dollars.
