There’s a new list of most dangerous US cities and the usual suspects are at the top again. Cities make the list by being leaders in murders, rapes, robberies, assaults and car thefts (and their population must be at least 75,000). The reason I’m listing 11 is because Orlando is where I grew up and was one of the biggest movers on the most dangerous cities list, the year previous Orlando was ranked 25th. I live in Tampa now and we only came in 74th which is completely shocking to me. Well, the writers are on strike, OJ is back in the courtroom and wouldn’t you know, it’s on TV…again! Back when all this initially went down in September I wrote that this would be the falls biggest TV hit. 
Watching OJ back in the courtroom evokes so many memories from my youth. When he got away with murder I never really imagined he would ever be back in a courtroom facing very serious charges again. But sure enough, he is!

As a resident of Florida I sometimes like to write about the weirdness and criminals that add a little something extra to “the sunshine state.” Of the many criminals that flee various other states to take residence here, none are more notorious than “The Juice” OJ Simpson.
Simpson has been a resident of Miami for a solid decade now, ever since his “dream team” of lawyers acquitted him of murdering 2 people at his Beverly Hills estate. Yesterday, federal agents raided the home of crusty old senator Ted Stevens. He is being investigated for improper ties to ‘Big Oil.’
Yes, this is shocking news, especially when you watch this video from nearly two years ago when the oil big wigs testified before the Senate appropriations committee and Stevens demanded and ordered that they not be sworn in.
It would be nice if people in power saw obvious corruption when it happened and did something about it then. Hopefully the old man does some time for obvious inappropriate ties to ‘Big Oil.’

Man arrested for shooting at Iraqi’s. Just a few problems here 1)There were no Iraqi’s present and 2)The incident occurred in Port Charlotte, Florida where the man fired at the neighbor’s air conditioning unit.

Go on any of the presidential candidate’s websites and the first thing addressed is money. They need your money to support their campaign because the more money they have, the louder their voice becomes and the more likely they are to be elected. This is what “democracy” in the United States has evolved into.
According to this chart on Opensecrets.org Hillary Clinton has raised the most money at $63 million and Barack Obama has raised the 2nd most at $59 million.
