Last night ‘Lil Bush’ debuted on Comedy Central. Overall, it was a letdown to the hype but there were some good laughs.
The best scene was probably in the cafeteria where ‘Lil Bush’ asks if the abortion clinic is a good place to start a date. Then out of nowhere pops in ‘Lil Bill Clinton’ saying “no, but it’s a good place to end one.”
Also funny is the grunting and live chicken eating ‘Lil Cheney’ who rampages through Baghdad, the girls’ locker room and Barbara Bush’s bush. I also found it funny that ‘Lil Cheney’ reminded me a lot of Beavis from Beavis …read more

Yesterday we celebrated Memorial Day. Most of us took the day off to barbeque, sit around, shop or all of the above. Meanwhile, on this day of leisure for most of us, American troops were still dying in a war we are constantly being lied to about.
Many of the lies about Iraq have evolved into minor truths, like the official admission of a civil war there, but we are still being lied to on a daily basis.  Today, the defense team in the Scooter Libby trial said that Dick Cheney would not be called to testify. It was rumored that he might take the stand as a character witness for Libby.
But thus, Dick’s ‘untouchables’ as we have coined them, slide by again. Clinton got impeached for lying about a blow job. This guy has consistently lied about Iraq, shot a man in the face, held contradictory views about gays (his daughter being the exception) and done numerous other misdeeds with zero repercussions.

The scapegoat trial of Lewis ”Scooter” Libby continues. Yesterday, Tim Russert of Meet The Press testified that he did not reveal the identity of CIA agent Valerie Plame as the Scooter has alleged.
Libby contends that Russert told him about her before he went around the White House babbling like a little school girl.
But regardless of whether or not he is guilty, he is definitely the scapegoat here. He is the sacrificial lamb for Karl Rove and Dick Cheney.

Today our President, the self proclaimed Decider, has issued his budget proposal to the new Congress. The $2.9 trillion dollar budget is for the 2008 fiscal year that begins October 1st.
The proposed Department of Defense budget is $481 billion, a $49 billion dollar increase over this year’s defense money.
President Bush has no problem in supporting the troops to fight and die, just not to care for them later on in life. During Bush’s tenure, veterans benefits have been cut as well as programs for mental health. Yet Bush has the gaul to say “support our troops.”

First off, big congrats to Nancy Pelosi on being the first female Speaker of the House. It was truly a historic moment to see her standing behind The Decider and next to a half dead Dick Cheney. And it was certainly very refreshing to see her sitting there instead of Dennis Hastert.

Today the nation honored the life and presidency of Gerald Ford. People ranging from Tom Brokaw to both Bush’s eulogized the life of Ford with nothing but praise. While not as lavish and monarchy like proceedings as that of Ronald Reagan, it has still been a remembrance comparable to royalty. His body laid in the capital rotunda for days and all US flags will fly half staff for 30 days. This is the tradition for all ex- presidents who pass away, regardless of time served or whether they were ever elected in the first place.

Today, George Bush said that extremists and radicals “can’t run us out of the Middle East.” The President seems to be leaning towards John McCain’s dangerous idea to increase troop levels. This despite the advice of the Iraq study group and military leaders.
Clearly, George Bush is incompetent, that is not hard to figure out and should have been evident before he was even elected. But the fact that he refuses to listen to sound advice that is contrary to his arrogant gut instinct is just ridiculous and dangerous.

Here we see Mary Cheney with her longtime partner of 15 years, Heather Poe. Mary Cheney, clearly the female in the relationship, is now pregnant.
Dick Cheney is apparently very excited at the news of another grandchild. But we’re sure he is dissapointed that he probably won’t be around to show the child the tricks of the fraudulent trade.
