Wow, that sure is a delicious looking latte! And it’s not just any old latte either, it’s a French brioche latte, served in a bowl. Why is it served in a bowl? Ask Al Gore, he knows. Perhaps it has something to do with the environment.

Yup, that’s Al Gore (and some random Indian dude who won a prize too but who cares?) with his latest award that he is sure to gloat about for years. I suppose he deserves it though after he got robbed of that whole presidency thing and num nuts came into power.
Gore didn’t hold back from scaring everyone though. If you’re looking for the best country in the world to live, head to Iceland. The UN just came out with its annual best places to shack up list and Iceland finally passed Norway, which had topped the list the previous 6 years. Apparently the salmon tastes better in Iceland these days. But really, when you look at all these people hanging out in those funky natural spring baths, how could you not want to live in Iceland? Look at how happy the girl with cream on her face looks!

Today was the first time Al Gore and George Bush stood side by side, since well, I think the debates back in 1999 when Al Gore was sighing into his microphone as Bushie babbled on about issues he had no clue of.
Al Gore was awarded the Nobel Prize for inventing global warming and thus, as part of White House tradition, he was invited for awkward photo ops at the White House. The two also had a private 40 minute meeting where Al Gore explained his movie to George Bush with fun caricatures.

Today it was announced that Al Gore and some 2,000 scientists from various fields were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for their efforts in discovering the global warming. The 2,000 scientists were thrown together by the World Meteorological Organization and the United Nations Environment Program in 1988, so there was nearly 2 decades of research done. Of course, the name that matters most here is Al Gore.

Go on any of the presidential candidate’s websites and the first thing addressed is money. They need your money to support their campaign because the more money they have, the louder their voice becomes and the more likely they are to be elected. This is what “democracy” in the United States has evolved into.
According to this chart on Opensecrets.org Hillary Clinton has raised the most money at $63 million and Barack Obama has raised the 2nd most at $59 million. Corn, it’s become the staple of the American diet. Like the potato was to Ireland, corn is to us now. Corn is in more things we eat than most people realize. Aside from the high fructose variety in all our carbonated soda, corn syrup can be found in many unlikely places. 
Corn has become so important to our livelihood that it is now competing with fueling our cars. Now that ethanol is increasing as an alternative fuel source, particularly in the midwest, it may start putting a straight on the corn industry and drive the price up. Particularly with global warming.
