Colbert For President…In South Carolina

Colbert For President…In South Carolina

In case you haven’t heard, Stephen Colbert officially announced he is running for president…in his home state of South Carolina. Stephen plans to run as both a democrat and republican but is focusing on getting his name on the democratic ballot first. The reason is that the cost of getting on the democratic presidential ballot is $2,500 while it is $25,000 to get on the republican presidential ballot, plus a $10,000 late fee as a republican! Obviously the democratic party in South Carolina is pretty hard up for candidates to run for stuff!

Vote Stephen Colbert For President in 2008!

Vote Stephen Colbert For President in 2008!

Well, this came as quite a shock. Lot’s of people were asking Stephen Colbert to run for president (much like Fred Thompson) and members of the media kept asking him whether he would run. He played down the question on many occasions, sometimes acting as if the question was intrusive (much like many presidential candidates before they officially announce they are running).
Colbert made this stunning announcement on the Colbert Report but said he is only running in his home state of South Carolina. However, he will be running as both a Democrat and a Republican! This is a very refreshing …read more

Blackwater USA continues to lead the effort to win the hearts and minds of Iraqi’s by killing them. Problem is that many Iraqi’s want them brought to justice, problem with that is that they are governed by the laws of Noplaceland.

7 Facts About ‘The Sirened’

7 Facts About ‘The Sirened’

Last week, fellow b5media writer Lynn Rodriquez of The Paris Traveler tagged me to write 7 facts about myself. I did not initially partake in the tagging, not because I have anything against talking about myself but because I’m not a big fan of tagging. But I noticed that writer Paul Springer of Starked SF has participated in his tag and not tagged anyone else. So I will follow suit and do the same here.
1) I was born in Toronto, Canada and currently reside in Tampa, FL.
2) I have 3 Citizenships: American, Canadian and Greek. My mother was born in Buffalo, NY and my …read more

Is This What It Will Take For the ‘Decider’ to Decide to Leave?

Is This What It Will Take For the ‘Decider’ to Decide to Leave?

Here we see our self described  ”Commander President” and “Decider” back in 2004 awarding ex-CIA head George Tenet the Presidential Medal of Freedom for being in charge while 9-11 occured. It has become pretty stock standard stuff for this administration to award mistakes and/or incompetence with medals and/or praise.
A few other notables here would be Bush saying “And Brownie, your doing a heck of a job” whilst people were still stranded in water in New Orleans. And Dick Cheney’s arrogant and ridiculous praise that Donald Rumsfeld “was the finest Secretary of Defense this nation has ever seen.”
Last night on the Colbert Report, Stephen said that for those who really want Bush …read more

Hey everyone, for those who check in on Sirened on a regular or semi regular basis, first off thank you! Second, sorry that we have been gone for awhile. We are back now and will be keeping you updated on all the fraudulent activities of politicians and companies.
The purpose of this site will continue to be two-fold: 1)To Inform and alert on both widely covered and less covered issues and 2)To have some fun along the way because really, a lot of things going on in the US right now are pretty depressing so it’s important to make a joke out of …read more

China Has Stephen Colbert Shaking In His Trousers

China Has Stephen Colbert Shaking In His Trousers

On last night’s Colbert Report, Stephen Colbert addressed the reasons why we should fear China. He coined the word “frenemy” to describe them seeing as how they are both a friend and enemy to our interests. They make cheap tube socks but compete for the fossil fuels we are willing to kill for.
The Chinese keep making more and more of our junk. Wal-Mart might as well just wave the Chinese flag in their stores. When your there, good luck finding something that a Chinese person hasn’t touched.
One thing the US is beating China in is number of prisoners. Despite China being four …read more

Stephen Colbert’s Slaughtered Bears

Stephen Colbert’s Slaughtered Bears

On Monday nights Colbert Report, Stephen Colbert was glowing about the Colts 29-17 victory over the Chicago Bears. He said:
“There’s nothing I enjoy more than seeing bears slaughtered. Turns out their weakness is rain, and holding onto the ball.”
He also added that what transpired is good news because if a bear ever gets a hold of your baby it may very well fumble it.

The Culprits of the 2007 Boston Scare

The Culprits of the 2007 Boston Scare

Here is the video of the Mooninite billboards that were placed around Boston that resulted in much of the city’s shutdown Wednesday. Apparently, the tiny billboards had been around for about a month but while lit up did not look like bombs. Then the batteries went out and were not replaced, leaving a circuit board looking contraption with wires hanging out of it. A Harvard scholar found one under a bridge and well, the rest is just embarrassing.
The person seen placing the Mooninite billboards around Boston was arrested for his role in leaving objects for their batteries to expire and …read more

How the Middle Class Can Be Defeated

How the Middle Class Can Be Defeated

Last night Lou Dobbs was a guest on The Colbert Report. Dobbs has been a strong advocate for the middle class on CNN’s Lou Dobbs Tonight. He has also written a book entitled “War On The Middle Class.” Colbert asked him if more troops were necessary to win the war on the middle class.
Sirened examines the plight of the middle class and how it can be defeated. Perhaps George Bush can declare “mission accomplished” on this battle when his presidency is up.
