Condi Rice and Co. Lay Sanctions Hammer on Iran

Condi Rice and Co. Lay Sanctions Hammer on Iran

Yesterday, Condi “needs good dickin” Rice and company laid more ground work for a potential WWIII with harsh sanctions against Iran. The sanctions which are aimed at crippling Iran’s economy into giving up their nuclear enrichment program will definitely do more harm than good in regards to Iraq and perhaps beyond.
One of the root causes of terrorism is poverty as many suicide bombers families are paid large sums of money when the father or mother decides to detonate themselves in a public place. This is something that goes beyond religion and certainly beyond “people who don’t like freedom.” So if …read more

Beaver Currency Passes US Dollar

Beaver Currency Passes US Dollar

Well, it’s official, the Canadian dollar is now worth more than the US dollar. The Canadian dollar had been riding our ass for a bit now but I really didn’t think it would actually pass us! But alas, it sadly has.
I was just in Canada 6 weeks ago and 1 US dollar still got you $1.05 Canadian, those were the good ole’ days! Now 1 US dollar gets you just under 98 Canadian cents. What the hell is going on? Has the price of maple syrup hit record highs? Are we buying up that much BC bud? Is there some …read more

Al Gore Adds Nobel Peace Prize to Invention of Internets

Al Gore Adds Nobel Peace Prize to Invention of Internets

Today it was announced that Al Gore and some 2,000 scientists from various fields were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for their efforts in discovering the global warming. The 2,000 scientists were thrown together by the World Meteorological Organization and the United Nations Environment Program in 1988, so there was nearly 2 decades of research done. Of course, the name that matters most here is Al Gore.
This is another great notch in Al Gore’s belt and he can put his Nobel next to his Academy Award on his bedroom night stand. Other great accomplishments for Gore include being elected president of the …read more

Ann Coulter’s Gone Wild Again

Ann Coulter’s Gone Wild Again

Oh that crazy gal, she really has some grapefruit size balls and she’s been back at it again, big time. Some recent comments include “If we took away a women’s right to vote we would never have to worry about another Democrat president.”
In reference to Hillary Clinton, she said she would fight her presidential campaign because “She does not want to be fitted for a burqa.” Yes, Hillary becoming prez will inevitably lead to American women wearing burqa’s. Then again, you can just take away a woman’s right to vote and then they would never have to worry about being forced to …read more

Iraqi’s Learning Democracy, Suing Blackwater

Iraqi’s Learning Democracy, Suing Blackwater

Iraqi’s are a little sick and tired of Blackwater USA ”security forces” killing them and having to answer to the laws of Noplaceland. So apparently someone told them that under their new democracy they can sue people for what they deem inappropriate conduct that harms them in some form.
So some families of dead Iraqi’s have decided to come together and sue Blackwater. The hardest part of this issue is where the case will be tried seeing as how they fall under the jurisdiction of Noplaceland. My belief is that a “fair and balanced” trial could perhaps be held on the set of Fox’s morning …read more

Around the Internets…

Blackwater USA continues to lead the effort to win the hearts and minds of Iraqi’s by killing them. Problem is that many Iraqi’s want them brought to justice, problem with that is that they are governed by the laws of Noplaceland.
TomDispatch discusses the inverse relationship between the amount of ribbons that current American Generals wear with past American generals, as per what they actually accomplished.
People in “democratic” Egypt and other countries where torture runs ramped are starting to video the occurrences with their cell phones for the rest of the world to see. No word yet on whether this is Mitt Romney spank off material.

Banned Book Week-Spotlight on “Catch-22″

Banned Book Week-Spotlight on “Catch-22″

In case you didn’t know, this is banned book week. The point is to address the issue of censorship in books and remind us of an important part of our democracy that we should not take for granted.
My personal favorite, that has been banned in certain places and times is “Catch-22.”  It’s such a great piece of literature and can be applied to just about any war (and most definitely Iraq). It’s also probably the funniest book I’ve ever read as it bitterly slams the farce, bureaucracy and mismanagement of wars.
When I think about Iraq and all the contradictions that this war entails I can just imagine …read more

Fight Extreme With Extreme

Fight Extreme With Extreme

This is Congressman Peter King (R-NY) stating that there are “too many mosques in this country.” He discusses how we can “infiltrate” these radicals by using an equally radical ideology, it’s the only way really. It’s kinda like if your neighbor has too much gaudy shit in his yard that you don’t like, you can’t really talk to him about it because it’s his property and he can do as he pleases. So the only way to stop it is through a secret late night attack involving baseball bats, toilet paper, eggs and perhaps some dog feces. You have to …read more

Australian Comedians Bash and Crash of APEC

Australian Comedians Bash and Crash of APEC

These are the Aussie guys responsible for crashing ‘The Decider’s’ hotel in Sydney last week for the APEC conference. This is hilarious stuff with them doing random “security checks” on people. They even fool one real security guard by saying that he was outranked and that what was going on was classified at his level.
For some reason Youtube has removed the Crasher’s motorcade breach of security near Bush’s hotel ($160 million Australian was spent on security, equivalent to $120 million US dollars). But the clip can be seen at this link on Australia’s ABC TV. Highly recommended viewing! The …read more

Will Bush even allow elections in 2008? Wonkette explores this.
The Portland Trail Blazer’s #1 pick, Greg Oden just had surgery on his knee and will likely miss his entire rookie year. Hmm, maybe ESPN writer Bill Simmons was right when he said they should have taken Texas forward Kevin Durant.
Latino’s are infiltrating this country in more ways than one as Hurricane Humberto hits Texas and moves on to Louisiana where it will seek construction work after destruction work.
Looks like health insurance rates will rise again next year. It’s estimated that the rise will be between 8-12%, I guess it’s time for a final surge during Bush’s last …read more
