Condi Rice and Co. Lay Sanctions Hammer on Iran

Yesterday, Condi “needs good dickin” Rice and company laid more ground work for a potential WWIII with harsh sanctions against Iran. The sanctions which are aimed at crippling Iran’s economy into giving up their nuclear enrichment program will definitely do more harm than good in regards to Iraq and perhaps beyond.
One of the root causes of terrorism is poverty as many suicide bombers families are paid large sums of money when the father or mother decides to detonate themselves in a public place. This is something that goes beyond religion and certainly beyond “people who don’t like freedom.” So if business in Iran takes a hit, the trickle down effect will create nothing but more impoverished and bitter people, thereby spawning more hatred towards Israel and the United States. And make no mistake; the interests of Israel and the USA are far from being perfectly aligned at the moment.
Terrorists are not grown in a bubble and dispersed to distant lands whereby the manufacturing center and supply can be completely destroyed. The problem is much more complex and convoluted than that-and for every “terrorist” we kill, two more are born.
I know the sanctions are meant to pressure Iran into giving up their nuclear program, but seeing as how Iran seems to be gathering more friends, like Russia, (who we have equally ticked off by announcing plans to build a missile defense system in the Czech Republic that is essentially aimed at them) this could backfire on a global scale. And I most certainly believe that this decision takes us another step backwards in Iraq.

We must not place any sanction on Iran By doing this the rest of our arabs friends in that region will hate us more and when this hatred get worse that will tend to have the young arabs wants to seek revenge on us by joining with the Talaban whome is stood out as the hero against the American.
We must seek to be friends with all the nation in that region, We must try to bring peace and settle this so call Nuclear problem in a more peaceful manner. We must also remember that if Iran is trying to establish Nuclear weapon they are not doing it alone , the Russians and others are behind it also.
President Bush and his henchmen already lied and dragged the Americans and have our sons and Daughters slaughtered in a bloody war that was not supposed to happened and with no end in sight.

so what would you suggest be done? the sanctions worked in Libya and it was a very similar situation. it’s useless to criticize something unless you provide an alternative. anyone can shoot down an idea; the difficult thing is to think of one. They don’t want to go to war with Iran (considering all of the opposition to Iraq, and Iran has 3 times Iraq’s population), and if they just let it be, all of the other mid-sized countries that signed the NPT will follow Iran’s lead, and the world will have a much larger problem.

Alex, you obviously never got out of junior high - needs good dickin”? - whatever you want to say after that is just meaningless and lacking credibility. Grow up and earn the right for anyone to listen to this drivel. Beyond belief.

Jai-Thanks for commenting and getting the bigger picture here.
Daniela-See the thing is I knew (unlike most Americans) that Iraq was a sham to begin with-to me it was common sense given who was president. And we may still bomb Iran, I wouldn’t put it past these guys.
Charles-Way to critique something with a low blow that is obviously grossly innacurate. Um, no I did get out of junior high actually, I have a degree in history, minor in poli sci and worked on an MBA. Oh, and at 28 I’ve visited 28 countries. And sorry, I just like to joke around sometimes, excuse me for having some fun here.
