How the Middle Class Can Be Defeated

by Alex on January 25th, 2007

Last night Lou Dobbs was a guest on The Colbert Report. Dobbs has been a strong advocate for the middle class on CNN’s Lou Dobbs Tonight. He has also written a book entitled “War On The Middle Class.” Colbert asked him if more troops were necessary to win the war on the middle class.

Sirened examines the plight of the middle class and how it can be defeated. Perhaps George Bush can declare “mission accomplished” on this battle when his presidency is up.

1)Chinese kids keep making our junk which takes junk making jobs away from American kids.

2)Indians keep calling us to say we have won a free vacation. This takes away many coveted telemarketing jobs.

3)Mexicans are picking our fruits at a low wage. This takes away sweaty, hard working, fruit picking jobs. Oh yeah, we don’t want to do those ones.

So ok, it’s more complex than that. There are issues like lower wages because of cheaper imported/exported labor and more expensive health care that are factors. Regardless, Bush has had a lot of success in fighting the middle class. And whatever you want to say about Iraq, he has had a lot of success in killing them.
