It’s a Good Thing Giuliani Wasn’t Mayor of New Orleans

by Alex on July 10th, 2007

Rudy Giuliani said that if the 2008 elections were based on one issue that it would be terrorism. Hmm, that sounds familiar. And as John Stewart said, if it’s about two issues he will lose.

Rudy Giuliani was better off being mayor of New York than mayor of New Orleans because if he was mayor of New Orleans he would be where Ray Nagin is. Nagin was lucky just to be re-elected to a city that is still trying to recover from the disaster that occurred there. Giuliani benefited from the immense wealth and resources of New York to come out looking like far more of a hero than what he really is. All he was was a person who made some good speeches, appearances and allowed the resolve of countless New Yorkers to put him in the position he is now. I would love to see how different New Orleans would be if Giuliani was the mayor.

This is a good parody from Real Time with Bill Maher showing how Giuliani wants to scare America into voting for him.
