Marijuana of course, has never been known as a killer, unless you count the old government propaganda film Reefer Madness. But I wondered if it was even humanely possible to die from a marijuana overdose.

The thought came to mind when I read that zero people had died from marijuana in the state of Florida in 2007. None, in a state of 18 million people, half of which are retarded.

Living here in Amsterdam, where marijuana can be purchased at some 200 coffee shops in the city, has gotten me to do a little research on the subject. I’d previously read that it isn’t possible to overdose from smoking marijuana because you just get too stoned and are no longer able to physically smoke, thereby making it humanely impossible to die by that means.

So I thought, well, what about ingesting it? Space cakes are big among tourists in Amsterdam, which are basically just baked goods like cakes and brownies filled with weed. I know a lot of people get sick from eating space cake because when you ingest marijuana it takes about an hour for the effects to kick in. Many people don’t realize this, thereby eating too much and getting sick. But I’d never read about anyone dying from this, so is this possible?

No, it is actually impossible to die from a marijuana overdose because apparently nobody ever has. The government has done research on this and apparently one would have to consume 1/3 of their body weight in marijuana in just 15 minutes for the dosage to be lethal.

There are perhaps 2 human beings on this planet even capable of that, professional eaters Joey Chestnut and Japanese superstar Takeru Kobayashi. Those guys can eat 60+ Nathan’s hot dogs in 12 minutes! That’s unbelievable, which of course means they are juicing.

Post from: Sirened

Prescription Drugs Kill More People than Illegal Drugs

Corporate

Criminals

Florida

Foreigners

Health Care

Politics

Sirened

Coffee Shops

Deaths

Illegal Drugs

Legal Drugs

Netherlands

Medical results out of Florida show that more people are dying from legal drugs than illegal ones. The Florida Medical Examiners Commission released autopsy results from 2007 that found that prescription drugs killed 3 times as many people as all illegal drugs combined. In 2007, there were 168,900 deaths in Florida. 2,328 of these deaths were caused by pain killers (Vicodine, Oxycontin, etc.), 743 deaths were due to benzodiazepines (Xanax, Valium, etc.) and alcohol was judged to have been the killer 466 times (it was in the bodies of 4,179 people that died).

The deaths from all illegal drugs (cocaine, heroine, ecstasy, etc.) came in at 989. The real kicker here, numbers of deaths from marijuana: 0. Yup, none, not a single person in the state of Florida died from the use of marijuana in 2007.

And yet marijuana is not only illegal in the United States, but people get arrested and get caught up in the system over a joint. I’m not saying that the USA should legalize marijuana, but at least decriminalize it, this was a big issue for former Senator Mike Gravel who was thrown out of the democratic presidential debates. And of course the rest of the democrats completely ignored the serious issue of a rising prison population due to bullshit.

In the Netherlands, soft drug use is viewed as a health issue, not a criminal issue. Nobody gets arrested for smoking a joint. If a police officer sees someone smoking a joint in a public place where they obviously should not be smoking (ie. not a designated coffee shop or desolate area in the park), that person will get chewed out and told to put it out, they will not go to jail over crap.

Of course, decriminalizing marijuana would eat into the profits of drugs companies, whose drugs kill more people than all street drugs combined.

Post from: Sirened
