So last night George Bush addressed the nation and tried to act all bi-partisan like, saying both sides are working on the economic apocalypse. Of course, this is after his goons tried to get 700 billion blank check dollars for the corporate overlords to do as they wished. Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, who would have otherwise been accountable to nobody, is a former CEO for Goldman Sachs.

In case you missed it last night here is President George-John “Insane in the Membrane” BuCain endorsing the real change, “country first” candidate. You know, the one that voted with itself 90% of the time.
Probably the best thing Bush could have done for McCain would have been to come out and endorse Barack Obama.
But notice how John McCain wasn’t at the convention last night when Bush was speaking and how we never see them together these days. Is it possible that they, in fact, really are the same person now!?!

Thanks to Gustav, President Bush will not be at the Republican National Convention personally, but will be speaking tonight live via satellite. And the RNC’s website is really touting the president’s address.
The website says:
The 2008 Republican National Convention today announced the program of events for Tuesday, Sept. 2. The program will feature speeches by U.S. Sen. Joe Lieberman and former U.S. Sen. Fred Thompson. Their remarks will reflect the convention’s overall theme, “Country First,” and the theme for Tuesday’s events, which is “service.”

Happy Independence Day America! I’m sorry I can’t be with you to celebrate, but rest assured that I will be bringing 4th of July to the town of Kalmar, Sweden tonight.

Evidently President Numb Nuts has another birthday coming up because despite his presidency, the Earth still managed another revolution around the sun. It’s clear that the star of Drop Dead Fred is an Obama supporter. I say we let the celebrities caucus to decide our next president, it’s about as fair as the current electoral system.

Finally! Backstabbing Scott McClellan’s new book What Happened has the media looking into their own muck ups prior to the invasion of Iraq. As many remember, the media’s coverage was basically a flag waving parade as they helped enable the Bush administration to spew their propaganda without serious question.

Well, this is really only fitting I suppose. Especially when the President of the United States seems to care more about Israel and its interests than that of his own country. Hey, remember that fiasco that happened back in 2000, when we elected Al Gore as president but got George “pretend cowboy” Bush instead. Well, now you can relive that moment on May 25th with the HBO film Recount starring Kevin Spacey, Dennis Leary, Laura Dern and Tom Wilkinson. What a great cast!
