Vegas Still Favors Obama…Barely

At the moment there are all sorts of polls circulating about who will be the next ‘Decider’ of the United States of ~~Bankruptcy~~ America. Polls are coming out daily and after months of an Obama edge, we’ve now seen the momentum shift to the side of John “Big Tuna” McCain, who thinks that if he’s going to cook the food then he should be able to buy the groceries, or something.

Anyways, in uncertain times like these I look to the rock of financial stability, the bookies. While McCain might have a slight edge in the polls, he still does not with the dudes who set football spreads. He has closed the gap however. A few weeks back I checked out my trusty sportsbetting.com and the money was still reasonably with Obama, at 1-2, with McNuggets at 3-2.

But just now I checked again and not surprisingly the gap has closed. Obama has slipped to 2-3 and McNasty has closed to 11-10. So Vegas has spoken and Obama is still the favorite! (Though not really).

Also, in no way do I endorse gambling ones fortune on sporting events, but consider putting your 401k on the San Fransisco 49ers this week at (-4) against the Detroit Lions. This is a lock because no NFL team (aside from the Rams, Chiefs, Raiders and Dolphins), playing at home, should be favored by less than 10 points against the Lions.

Got Dumped for Obama

Oh you gots to love duh YouTubes. First there was Obama Girl, now there’s the “I Got Dumped for Obama” Girl.

This is Rachel Keller who’s ex-boyfriend developed a man crush on Obama. The result: She got dumped and decided to sing a little pop song about it. Perhaps she will be on the next American Idol that I will not be watching, ever, unless I am captured by terrorists and they force me to watch that show.

Clinton Supporters for McCain Website

Even though Hillary Clinton formally conceded on Saturday and endorsed Barack Obama (and thankfully she finally did something to put her issues, country and party above herself-of course she kinda had to for the future of her political career) the wounds are still far too fresh for many of her supporters. I really can’t blame them for their frustration seeing as how many of them put a lot of hard work and/or had a lot of belief in their candidate. And the race was oh so close and controversial.

So out of this frustration, a website has formed called Ex-Hillary Clinton Supporters for John McCain. The site boasts that it has 35,000 members and is growing. The site itself isn’t very informative and the front page includes 2 pictures, one where it shows Obama looking like he is ignoring Hillary Clinton and the other with John McCain smiling at her. In a nutshell, it’s total bullshit.

The site is also moderated to only include comments that bash Barack Obama and praise Hillary Clinton and John McCain. You can also donate to the site to help in the upkeep of moderating such wonderful comments like “I will not vote for the affirmative action candidate” and such. Yes, there is a new law that requires that a minority candidate be the presidential nominee of a major party once every 200 years. duh!
