Anyways, in uncertain times like these I look to the rock of financial stability, the bookies. While McCain might have a slight edge in the polls, he still does not with the dudes who set football spreads. He has closed the gap however. A few weeks back I checked out my trusty sportsbetting.com and the money was still reasonably with Obama, at 1-2, with McNuggets at 3-2.

But just now I checked again and not surprisingly the gap has closed. Obama has slipped to 2-3 and McNasty has closed to 11-10. So Vegas has spoken and Obama is still the favorite! (Though not really).

Also, in no way do I endorse gambling ones fortune on sporting events, but consider putting your 401k on the San Fransisco 49ers this week at (-4) against the Detroit Lions. This is a lock because no NFL team (aside from the Rams, Chiefs, Raiders and Dolphins), playing at home, should be favored by less than 10 points against the Lions.

When Sirened does return, it will be bigger and better than ever. In the meantime, If you’re in need of a political snark fix, head over to Wonkette.com. It’s my personal favorite; just be careful as it’s seriously addictive to political snark junkies.

But since it’s summer, perhaps it’s good to take a break from politics. When Sirened returns, I’m sure everything will be the same, Obama will still be romanticizing the media and wooing crowds, as McCain tries not to scratch his ass on camera.

Anyways, here are 10 reasons why I definitely have no interest in ever living in the USA again.

10)The fact that the United States has become a modern day Nazi Germany, nobody can stop the United States government from doing whatever the hell it wants.

9)The fact that the United States government is willing to bankrupt itself to protect the interests of Israel.

8)The fact that you cannot be president of the USA without being religious, and of course religious means Christian.

7)The fact that you cannot be president of the USA without pandering to Israelis, nobody else in the world, just them.

6)The fact the the USA executes people while at the same time not allowing a human being the individual freedom to choose when they want to die peacefully, without living in miserable pain.

5)The fact that the US puts people behind bars for a small amount of marijuana, absolutely ridiculous on so many levels.

4)The fact that the US government has money for wars but no money for health care.

3)Election fraud in the US, by a government that prances around the world preaching “democracy.” Meanwhile, we have electronic voting machines with no paper trail and we elect presidents who receive less votes.

2)Taliban Christians. These people want to send American education back to the dark ages and politicians support this agenda to keep people dumb and blind.
1)The fact that the US government can’t even balance it’s fucking check book. So what else should they expect from their citizens?

Sounds like I’m a real un-patriotic asshole, and perhaps I am seeing as how I don’t wear a US flag lapel pin. But I am American and I have a right to my opinion. Despite what any fascist, police state supporting fuck nut might otherwise say.

Yesterday was just another day in John McCain’s train wreck journey toward the White House. Here we see George-John BuCain telling everyone to stay out of the sun, while standing in the sun.

Considering the unbelievable disaster that is the current state of the United States, how many points do you think Obama would be up right now if he was white? Combine this with the fact that McCain is a bumbling old man that makes no sense and my guess is 25 points. I’d say an all white Obama would be at around 60% and McCain would be at 35%.

There would be less undecided people of course because Obama would be a white man. Having no health care or potentially having health care with a black president is a toss up for many Americans.

The District of Columbia is represented by Eleanor Holmes Norton (as seen on The Colbert Report) in the House of Representatives, but she’s prohibited from actually voting. Thereby giving the people of D.C. no voice in Congress.

There is a website called DCVote.org that is working to lobby Congress and educate Americans on this issue. America’s separation from Britain was fueled by “no taxation without representation,” a slogan that is also being echoed by DCVote.org. No word yet on whether they will dump oil into the Potomac River.

Residents of D.C. can’t even write to a senator to complain about their lack of representation because they have no senator to write to. The kicker for me here is that since World War I, 1,686 residents of D.C. have died in combat, sent to war without proper representation in their government.

I suppose this is appropriate for a government filled with hypocrisies though, we shout mightily for democracy and deny it to those who live within our nations capital.

First, qualifications of a campaign manager:

1)Military experience preferred (not so much as to overtake it though).

2)Must show an ability to intimidate.

3)Must not be afraid to destroy dissidents.

Strategies involved:

1)Must arm supporters (this is usually easier for the incumbent dictator, particular if he also heads the military). If the dictator in power does not control the military however, the general who does makes for a great opposition candidate.

2)The areas with the largest concentration of opponents must have the greatest obstacles to vote. Opponents should be willing to dodge machine gun fire.

3)Feeding supporters. People need to eat and if you feed them right before they hit the ballot box, this will be taken into heavy consideration.

4)How many dead people can vote without the UN noticing? Of course, this doesn’t really matter anyways as the UN can only voice their displeasure, without taking significant action.

I’m not sure I have what it takes for this position but I’m willing to discuss any offers. If you are a dictator in power or a general seeking power and are interested in my services, please email me.

But if you’re game, expect to shell out some cash as pretty much everyplace charges about 250 Swedish kroners ($42 US or 26 Euros) for reindeer steak. I had to seriously contemplate this expenditure but given my love of trying different animals, I just had to give it a go.

We decided to give a place called Restaurang C C a try because they boasted their specialty in wild game. In fact, there are only about 7 main dishes on the menu, including boar steak, regular deer and wild salmon for fish eaters.

Unfortunately, this place was a mistake and given that the restaurants sign has a reindeer pictured should have been a dead giveaway to steer clear.

Like most restaurants in Stockholm’s Gamla Stan (old quarter), Restaurang C C is nice inside, but given that the weather was good we chose to eat outside. The experience was terrible from the get go, the service was slow and we were given no bread-I can’t think of ever experiencing this in a restaurant of similar stature, anywhere in the world.

The reindeer steak was served in 2 small mignons, accompanied by boiled potatoes (pretty stock standard side in Sweden). Normally I eat steak medium rare but I asked that they serve the reindeer the way it normally comes, which is medium well. If you prefer your steak medium rare, I suggest you ask for your reindeer to be cooked the same rather than trust the chef like I stupidly did.

The food was decent, but for the money it should have been great. It was also not a large portion of food. If you want to try reindeer in Stockholm, I would suggest giving Slingerbulten or a restaurant called Movitz a go (both in Gamla Stan as well). They both serve reindeer steak and my wife and I had fantastic experiences at these two restaurants. Restaurang C C is a gimmick that needs to get its act together.

4)Move to Venezuela. Gas is subsidized by the government and costs about 5 cents a gallon.

3)Save empty milk containers. When gas dips below $4 a gallon, fill the trunk with milk containers and fill them up at the gas station. This could literally save you dollars in the long run. Aside from being hazardous, the only other downside is that you will spend gas to haul gas.

2)Prostitute yourself for fuel. Truck stops are a wonderful place for this because you can make money and buy gas at the same place.

1)Become an oil executive. I imagine it’s an incredible feeling to fill up at the pump knowing that you’re helping to make yourself millions.
