What Will Happen to Strippers With Dollar Coin?
The US is taking another crack at getting our monetary system more efficient and up to speed with other nations. That’s right, the dollar coin is being re-introduced for a 3rd time. This time, the coins will begin with George Washington and change presidents every 3 months for 4 years.
Paper dollars will still be printed simultaneously however, as most Americans do not favor the cheaper to produce dollar coins. Countries like Canada, Australia and the EU countries have done away with paper ones, with 5 dollar notes being the smallest denomination you can get in those countries.
In a poll taken by the AP-Ipsos, an astounding 75% of Americans disapprove of getting rid of paper dollars for dollars coins. 50% believe it’s ok to have both circulating at the same time.
71% also disapprove of getting rid of the penny even though it costs more to make than what it’s worth, wasting taxpayer money. In countries like Australia, one cent pieces do not exist and merchants round up or down to the nearest five cents.
As advanced as we are, it is amazing how far behind we are when it comes to our currency. Perhaps the stripper lobbyists are holding a tight grip on Washington to keep the dollar note. What would happen to that industry if the paper ones were eliminated? Would women have to carry change purses in their garter belts? Would they fear men throwing dollar coins at them? For this reason, maybe keeping the paper dollars is good idea. Otherwise, come on people, let’s get with the program here.

Someone suggested that the girls could wear change purses on their shoes and that the jingle could add to the performance.

Some clubs will give you change in 2 dollar bills (like the one near Spokane, WA). Otherwise, I can see tip jars at the edge of the stage to compensate.
Really, why are we keeping the 1 dollar bills? This will only make it harder for people to accept the coin. Besides, with five dollar coins in your pocket it is far less weight than 20 quarters!

DOES ANYONE USE THE PRESIDENTIAL DOLLAR COINS?
In Canada they have $1 and $2 which is great as you can buy lunch with your change.
I think they look great and I use them everywhere I can with the help of a little change-holder called Portsou that I picked up online.
Check it out http://www.portsou.com Go dollar!!!
