What’s That Thorn in John McCain’s Ass?

by Alex on February 12th, 2008

Mike HuckabeeAfter John McCain won the big ones on Super Tuesday, his walnut cheeks expanded and he declared himself the front runner for the republican nomination. And with a delegate lead of more than 400 it was rightly justified. Two days later Mitt Romney and his 287 delegates laid down their arms and Mike Huckabee was expected to follow suit. Not so much.

Despite McCain’s republican friends urging the Huck to withdraw he has not. Huckabee has vowed to continue on his rainbow voyage to the emerald forest of republican nominees. After all, as Huckabee said about his college days “I didn’t major in math, I majored in miracles.”

Huck managed to win Kansas and Louisiana on Saturday and increase the itch in John McCain’s ass. The itch could become even more widespread if Huckabee scores well in tonight’s Potomac primaries (Maryland, Virginia and D.C.). Huckabee is an awfully friendly and funny guy but doesn’t he realize that McCain can break him with his bare hands? McCain has been waiting 100 years for the republican nomination and now it’s finally his, if only that annoying prankster on his magic carpet would just go away…

I’m watching the CNN coverage of the Potomac Primaries. It isn’t just McCain republicans urging Huckabee to drop out of the race– Larry King is now in on it too! Huckabee doesn’t look like he is going to budge, though. And you’re right, McCain is looking increasingly irritated. When does this comedy act end!?!

Looks like McCain got a heavy dose of itch relief tonight, hehe. Huckabee says he’s sticking around but so did Mitt Romney two days before he dropped out. You never know with the politicians.

As for John McCain…I would get irritated too if I were 71 and had Hanoi Hilton flashbacks. Hell, I get irritated in traffic :)
